Algerian international defender Achref Abada is close to embarking on his first professional experience outside his country, with negotiations advancing between Union Alger and Al-Shamal. The Qatari club is looking to finalize the deal during the upcoming winter transfer window, having made an official offer exceeding one million euros.

According to reports, Al-Shamal's management has shown significant interest in signing a defender from the national team, and they have sent their offer to the officials at the Algerian Football Federation, who are considering the proposal in preparation for a final decision regarding the player's future, with indications that approval may be forthcoming, given the attractive financial value of the deal.

Despite Achref Abada's contract with MC Algiers running until 2029, a Qatari offer could prompt the club's management to agree to his departure. It is worth noting that the defender joined the team during last summer's transfer window, coming from Association Chlef.

Al-Shamal are not the only club interested in the player's services, as his name was previously linked with Al Ahly FC, but the Qatari team seems to be the most serious in its efforts, thanks to their submission of an official offer. Data also indicates that Ayoub Azzi, the former MC Algiers player with extensive experience in Qatari football, is playing a role in bridging the gap between the concerned parties, benefiting from his relationships and knowledge of the football atmosphere there.

Negotiations are moving towards a conclusion, with Abada set to join Al-Shamal at the start of the winter transfer window if both clubs reach a final agreement on all details. This will mark the beginning of a new challenge in the Qatar Stars League, alongside his compatriots Baghdad Bounedjah and Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian defender has seen a remarkable development in recent seasons, having left ES Setif after failing to establish himself during the trial period. He then regained his form and relaunched his career with Association Chlef, where he delivered impressive performances that paved the way for his inclusion in the national local team.

Achref Abada has established himself as an option for coach Majid Bougherra, participating with the local national team in the Arab Cup, before his impressive performances opened the door for him to join the senior national team, where he has been present for over a year.

The Algerian defender has played 13 international matches, scoring a notable goal in his official debut against Guatemala. He also demonstrated tactical flexibility by being able to occupy both the center-back and right-back positions, which enhanced his technical value and made him the focus of interest for several Arab clubs.
