Reason for Marwan Ateya's exclusion from the match against El Mokawloon SC

Ahmed Shobair revealed the reasons for the exclusion of duo Hussein El Shahat and Marwan Ateya from Al Ahly FC's squad to face El Mokawloon SC, scheduled to take place this evening, Monday, as part of the Malawi Cup.

Shouber stated in a radio interview that Hussein El Shahat is suffering from abdominal issues related to his kidneys, which have caused him pain, and therefore he has been given a 48-hour rest.

It was explained that Marwan Ateya's absence comes in the context of the coaching staff's desire to protect him from fatigue, considering that giving him a break at this time is a successful step to catch his breath, especially after the significant physical effort the player has put in amidst a busy match schedule.

Marwan Ateya needs two days of rest to prepare for upcoming matches in the Cairo Cup and the league, as well as two matches with the Egypt national team against Malawi.
