Gordon: We were better than Real Madrid despite the defeat, and I can offer more

Anthony Gordon spoke about FC Barcelona's losses to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, emphasizing the need for players to take responsibility for the results, as well as his own performance with the team. He also discussed his aspirations for the upcoming period. This came during the press conference ahead of the match against Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League.

Gordon spoke about his assessment of his performance so far: "Out of 10? I don't know, maybe 7.5? I haven't shown my best yet, and I can offer a lot more, I'm still in the process of settling in with my family, and that always takes some time."

Regarding his next opponent, he spoke about Aston Villa: "It is a big team, always maintaining its focus, waiting for the right moment, and it is also going through a good period."

Regarding the support he receives in the dressing room, he explained: "The players who speak English, like Erik, are the most able to help me, but everyone is very friendly, as is Flick; they make things easy for me. As for the competition for playing time, I only think about giving my best, whether I play five minutes or the whole match."

Gordon talked about the importance of mental preparation, saying: "It is essential, not just in football, but in life as well. The challenge at FC Barcelona is different from the challenges I faced with other teams, and it helps you develop. He added: "We have to take responsibility for the two defeats, as we are capable of winning against any team. We arrived at the match against Paris Saint-Germain more fatigued than them, but against Real Madrid I believe we were the better side, creating more chances. However, we did not perform at our best and conceded two goals from players with great talent. I hope to face both teams again."

Regarding adapting to the team: "I am still getting used to the culture here, to the team and the players, and I am trying to understand the type of passes they will send to me so that I can determine the right way to start. It is still early, as I have only spent three months here, and I will improve over time."

Regarding what surprised him the most about FC Barcelona: "Everything is different, as I have never lived outside England, but I am happy to be here in a wonderful country with good weather, great food, and nice people.
