Spalletti: We need greater desire and must get Juventus back on the right track

Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Juventus, spoke about the upcoming clash against SSC Napoli in Serie A, emphasizing the difficulty of the match and his team's need to respond strongly after their recent loss to Genoa by two goals to nil.

Spalletti said during the press conference: "We need a team that has balance, because we are going to face a very difficult match. There will be no time to think too long on the pitch, and we must be ready for everything. We have to present something different from what we showed against Genoa, and we must have a mentality that does not break, as physical strength may decline, but focus must not decline."

Juventus manager added: "There is one way to win matches, which is to have a greater desire than the opponent. We want to get Juventus back on the right track, and the team and I are working towards that. We have faced difficulties in the past period, but we want to regain the respect we have lost."

Regarding the pressures he faces, Spalletti explained: "I have dealt with similar situations before, whether with teams competing for titles or teams needing to improve their position in the table. Juventus is a big club, and therefore the reactions are greater, but I am used to such circumstances, and I do not need protection; I need a reaction from the players."

He concluded his remarks by referring to the tactical options, confirming that Edon Zhegrova and Jérémie Boga could get a chance to participate during the second half even if they are not in the starting lineup. He also expressed his desire to see Massimiliano Allegri again, describing him as a friend and a great coach.
