Elliot Anderson: We feel disappointed and we must unite

Elliot Anderson, Manchester City's midfielder, expressed his disappointment following the defeat against Brighton by a goal to nil, confirming that his team created many chances but failed to capitalize on them, during his statements to "Sky Sports".

Anderson said: "We created a lot of chances, and it is frustrating to lose in this way. We couldn't take the opportunities that came our way, and on another day we could have scored three or four goals. We now have to regain our balance and prepare for the UEFA Champions League match in two days."

He spoke about the team's playing style, explaining: "We relied on having three players in midfield, with man-to-man marking, while the wingers maintained their positions in advanced areas and on the flanks. We succeeded in creating space on the sides, but we were unable to convert the chances into goals, which is unfortunate, and we will work on improving that."

"Everyone feels disappointed, and the performance was not at the required level. We do not want to lose matches, but we have to stick together. We had a great start to the season, but we have faced two disappointing results recently, so we must remain united."

He concluded regarding the Manchester City players' demands for more handball calls inside the penalty area: "I thought that while I was on the pitch, but I haven't watched the footage again yet."
