Dortmund moves to secure future of four key players with Anton topping renewal list
Borussia Dortmund are working to extend the contracts of four key players: goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, defender Waldemar Anton, full-back Julian Ryerson, and forward Serhou Guirassy, as the club aims to maintain its core assets in the coming years.
According to the German newspaper "Bild", the contracts of the four players will expire in the summer of 2028. The club's sporting director, Lars Ricken, confirmed Dortmund's desire to continue working with them, stating that the renewal will be based on suitable economic terms, without revealing a specific timeline for negotiations.
According to "Sky Sport Germany", Borussia Dortmund officials held an initial meeting with representatives of Waldemar Anton to discuss extending his contract, amid a mutual desire to continue the collaboration. Kobel also expressed his openness to staying for a long time, confirming his happiness playing for the German club.
German reports indicate that Anton and Kobel are at the top of the renewal priorities, with the club eager to finalize their situations before the end of the year. This will be followed by negotiations for Ryerson and Girotti, with the possibility of starting talks with the Guinean striker at the beginning of next year or during the spring, without any official agreements reached so far.
