Monza discover Portuguese gem.. Varela stuns in Italy!

Portuguese Gustavo Varela (21 years old) has caught the spotlight with AC Monza, becoming one of the standout discoveries of the season in Italy, thanks to his remarkable scoring run that has put his name under the microscope.

AC Monza has successfully signed Gustavo Varela from SL Benfica for just €2.5 million, before the player made an exceptional start by scoring 8 goals in his first 8 league matches, achieving a historic record that had only been matched by Otilio Torri at the age during the 1936-1937 season, according to circulating information.

The Portuguese forward's brilliance has not only been reflected in his goal tally but also in his market value, which has risen to around €5 million, double the amount AC Monza paid to sign him. This increase comes amid growing interest in his future due to the levels he has been performing at.

Gustavo Varela is a candidate to be one of the smartest signings this season, having combined a low cost with significant technical returns. This deal could provide AC Monza with important sporting and financial gains if the player continues to shine in the upcoming period.
