Croatian Luka Modrić, the midfielder for Milan, acknowledged Bologna's right to win against his team with a score of four goals to two in the match that marked the first defeat for the Rossoneri in Serie A this season, after nine rounds.

Luka Modrić stated in remarks to Italian network «Sky Sport»: "It is a harsh defeat that we did not expect, especially after the first half. We lost many duels in the second half, and after conceding a goal from a set piece, we psychologically dropped a bit. Our performance in the second half made us deserve to lose."

The Croatian star has rejected the injuries affecting the team as an excuse for regression, emphasizing: "We cannot look for excuses, despite the many injuries. We must remain united and positive, and respond quickly, especially since the next match will be a big derby. We need to maintain our optimism and strive to return to winning ways on Saturday."

Luka Modrić expressed confidence in AC Milan's development under coach Rubén Amorim, stating: "I believe we are developing well and moving in the right direction. The coach has brought new ideas and a different style of play, and we are trying day by day to better understand his requirements. We can still improve a lot, and we hope to continue developing as the season progresses."
