Amorim after defeat to Bologna: I didn't recognise my team
The Portuguese coach Rubén Amorim of AC Milan expressed his frustration following the 4-2 loss to Bologna in the match that took place during the ninth round of Serie A, confirming that his team lacked energy and the ability to cope with the course of the game.
Amorim said after the match: "I felt from the first minute that the team was suffering from fatigue and lacking energy. We have many matches, with a large number of players missing, and it was difficult for us. We conceded two goals quickly, and we tried to come back, and we had a good chance through Camarda."
The Portuguese coach stated that the issue is not only related to injuries, emphasizing that the team is struggling due to its inability to rotate players effectively, which affects its capacity to maintain continuous pressure and implement its style of play. However, he stressed that this does not excuse the losses.
Amorim spoke about the upcoming phase, saying: "We need to be ready for the derby, and we will prepare for the match according to the time and solutions available to us. It is our responsibility to fight for the win, and I believe that we will become a very strong team in the future, but we need to try to win without making excuses."
