Blow for Manchester United as Benjamin Šeško ruled out until January

Expectations within Manchester United suggest that Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško will remain sidelined until at least January due to a shin injury, in another blow for the team that is looking to regain its balance under Michael Carrick, according to a report by The Athletic's journalist Laurie Whitwell.

Cisko is recovering well through rest, but the club's medical staff continues to consult with specialists to determine the best treatment path, amid a desire to ensure his full recovery and avoid a recurrence of the injury. It will not be limited to regaining his physical readiness, as the 23-year-old forward will need additional time to regain match sharpness before returning to competitive action.

The problem stems from an injury the player sustained last season after being struck in the shin, which worsened following a clash with Ibrahima Konaté during a match against Liverpool, causing him to miss the last three matches of the season. Manchester United preferred rest treatment over surgery at that time, which kept the player out of the pre-season preparations, before the pain resurfaced again. Cisco scored 12 goals in his first season with the team, including two goals in six matches during the current season.

The absence of the Slovenian striker is a clear technical loss for Manchester United, as he provides the team with a strong physical presence in the penalty area and is known for his movements behind defenders and his ability to target crosses. He has scored eight of his 12 goals in the Premier League since Carrick took charge in January, five of which came after coming on as a substitute. Sisko holds an important position in the attacking system due to his ability to create shooting opportunities and reach dangerous areas, making his absence an additional challenge for the coach in the upcoming period.
