Scholes criticises Bruno Fernandes and urges him to move to Saudi Pro League

Paul Scholes, the former Manchester United legend, has launched a scathing attack on the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes, the team's captain, questioning the possibility of relying on him as a leader for any team in the near future.

Paul Scholes said: "How can you trust Bruno Fernandes to be the captain of any team he moves to now? I think he should perhaps step away from European football and move to Saudi Arabia, and completely distance himself from the scene."

The Manchester United legend added: "I don't think any coach or any member of the coaching staff can trust him after that."

Paul Scholes' remarks reflect strong criticisms of Bruno Fernandes, as he focused on the issue of the player's confidence and ability to take on a leadership role, alongside calling for him to leave European football and move to the Saudi Pro League.

Portuguese star Bruno was on the bench during Manchester United's 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the last round of the Premier League, a decision made by coach Michael Carrick.
