Paul Scholes: Conte the best option to manage Manchester United among candidates
Paul Scholes, the former Manchester United legend, has nominated Italian coach Antonio Conte to take over the team, considering that he stands out significantly from the other names proposed to succeed Michael Carrick. However, he warned that the current squad of the Red Devils may not be at the level that matches the capabilities of the Italian coach.
Paul Scholes stated: "Of these three, Antonio Conte is the right man, but there is a very important warning about him. I personally can't understand why he would want to take this job, as I don't think the team has the quality to work with him."
The Manchester United legend added: "I believe that Conte is the best of all time among the current coaches. When we talk about the best coaches and compare the names in contention, Conte stands out by a wide margin."
Paul Scholes believes Antonio Conte's coaching record gives him a clear advantage, citing his successes with Juventus and Napoli. He emphasized that signing him could be an important step in bringing Manchester United back into contention for the Premier League title.
He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the club needs a coach with a strong personality and the ability to impose discipline in the dressing room, considering that Conte could be capable of bringing about the necessary change, even if his tenure lasts only 18 months, provided he returns the team to the title race.
