Omar Najari: Raja's task in the Confederation will not be easy

Omar Najari, former player of Raja Club, has stated that the Green team faces a tough challenge in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, after being drawn in Group A alongside Al Ahly FC, ASKO de Kara, and Primeiro de Agosto.

Najari explained in press statements that facing Al Ahly FC represents a strong test for Raja Club, given the vast experience the Egyptian team has in continental competitions. He pointed out that the Angolan opponent also possesses significant experience, which requires the Moroccan representative to prepare well for the group matches.

In assessing Raja Club's chances in the competition, the former player noted that the difficulty of the task is not limited to the strength of the opponents, but is also related to the need to improve the team's technical level and regain the performance that matches its history and status on the African stage.

Najari emphasized that Raja Club must focus on improving its collective performance and delivering convincing levels, rather than merely looking at the names of the teams drawn in its path. He confirmed that the club is accustomed to competing for continental titles, given its fans' aspirations to achieve results that match its ambitions.

The group stage draw, which was held on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital Cairo, placed Raja Club in Group A, which includes three opponents with varying experiences and capabilities. The opening round matches will take place from November 27 to 29.
