Sulinass criticises officiating after Al-Faisaly's win over Abha
Solinas explained in the press conference after the match that his team deserved two penalties against Abha, in addition to a foul being called in the final minutes, considering that the decisions made were not correct from his point of view.
The Italian coach emphasized that his demand for Al-Faisaly's rights does not mean taking an antagonistic stance towards referees, affirming his commitment to the principle of fair play and his desire for fair decisions on the pitch.
Sulinhas cited the matches against Al-Shabab and Al-Nassr, noting that Al-Faisaly was denied, in his estimation, two penalty kicks during the matches. He also expressed his surprise at the lack of intervention from the Video Assistant Referee in both cases.
The Al-Faisaly coach highlighted that video recordings allow everyone to review and judge the footage, questioning the reasons behind the decisions that he believes his team deserves. He emphasized that his objections aim to achieve justice rather than attack the referees.
Solinas highlighted that his team faced similar situations and decisions he deemed against them during the Al-Hilal match as well, referring to his repeated objections to certain refereeing decisions in the Saudi Pro League.
On a technical level, the coach expressed satisfaction with his players' performance, explaining that they were aware of the difficulty of facing Abha, which saw an open style of play and continuous attempts from the home side to equalize, before thanking his players for their level.
Giovani Solinas, the Italian coach of Al-Faisaly, expressed his dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions during the win over Abha by a goal to nil, stating that the victory did not alleviate his frustration with the incidents that occurred in the postponed match of the 8th round of the Saudi Pro League.
