LaLiga identifies 17 incidents in the clásico
LaLiga has informed the Royal Spanish Football Federation of 17 incidents during the clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, which took place at Spotify Camp Nou. Among these, there were ten incidents involving FC Barcelona fans and seven concerning Real Madrid supporters, according to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."
A report from the league has highlighted several incidents involving FC Barcelona fans, which included insults directed at José Mourinho and Marc Cucurella, as well as throwing objects onto the pitch after Kylian Mbappé scored Real Madrid's second goal in the 87th minute.
The report clarified that fans from the Gol 1957 stand threw bottles, metal cans, lighters, and an electronic smoking device onto the pitch, without injuring any Real Madrid players. It also mentioned that Eduardo Camavinga was struck by a flag during the goal celebration, an incident that garnered attention on social media.
The throwing of projectiles led to the activation of the first phase of the protocol for dealing with such incidents, with an announcement made over the loudspeakers urging fans to stop this behaviour. The match was stopped for 1 minute and 20 seconds, and the incident was recorded in the referee's report.
In contrast, the seven complaints related to Real Madrid fans included insults directed entirely at FC Barcelona, according to the report sent by LaLiga to the Royal Spanish Football Federation on Tuesday.
