Paris Saint-Germain announces successful surgery for Kvaratskhelia

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the successful surgery of their player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee during the match against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

The match saw Paris Saint-Germain beat Barcelona 4-2, before the Georgian player underwent surgery to treat the injury he sustained during the match.

The club clarified, through its official website, that the surgery was successfully performed at Aspetar Hospital in the Qatari capital, Doha.

Paris Saint-Germain have not disclosed the duration of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's absence from the pitch, nor the expected date for his return to match participation.

The player is set to begin rehabilitation following successful surgery, paving the way for recovery from the injury.
