Lunin: These are the keys to victory in the clásico, and we still have a lot of work to do

Ukrainian André Lunin, goalkeeper for Real Madrid, spoke about the key factors that contributed to the team's 2-1 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico, emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and the ability to handle difficult moments against top opponents.

Lunin stated in an interview with Real Madrid TV: "Discipline, mentality, and the desire to win are the keys to victory. At certain periods of the match, we were in control of the game, but Barcelona had possession of the ball most of the time. Playing away from home is extremely complicated, and the three points were important today, as we all understand the nature of the current situation."

Speaking about his save from Gerard Martin's header, Real Madrid's goalkeeper said: "I like the phrase that Nono always repeats: 'I trained well.' This save is the result of daily work in training."

Lunin spoke about the importance of teamwork: "It's about teamwork. When you are able to take control, you must impose your control on the match, play well, and keep a clean sheet. But when the match becomes difficult against top opponents like today's rival, you must know how to suffer, control the flow of the game, and remain one team until the end."

Regarding Real Madrid achieving five consecutive victories, he explained: "It is important that we do not stop and do not think too much about this streak so that we do not lose our focus. We must continue to develop, as there are many things that need to be improved. We have a coach who has just arrived, and we need to develop as a team. It is a long journey, and we still have a lot of work ahead of us."

Lunin concluded his remarks by affirming the team's connection to the motto 'until the end', stating: "In recent years, the team has become strongly associated with this phrase. We need to focus more on our work, our matches, and our results, as this team always wants to win."
