Real Madrid ignites LaLiga with late win over Barcelona in El Clásico

Real Madrid secured a valuable victory over rivals Barcelona with a score of 2-1 in the match that took place at Spotify Camp Nou, as part of the tenth round of LaLiga.

With this defeat, Barcelona's tally remains at 27 points at the top of the table, two points ahead of Atlético Madrid, while Real Madrid has increased their tally to 24 points, occupying third place.

Early attempts were made, with Arda Güler hitting the crossbar in the 5th minute. Anthony Gordon then tested Real Madrid's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin with a shot in the 7th minute, which the latter successfully saved. Gordon returned to try again in the 15th minute, but his shot did not pose a significant threat.

In the 17th minute, Güler's powerful shot forced the goalkeeper to intervene and clear it, before Barcelona's defense followed up and cleared the ball. Raphinha responded with an attempt from outside the box in the 23rd minute, but it went wide of the post, while Kylian Mbappé wasted another chance in the 33rd minute after receiving a pass from Güler and shooting over the goal.

Anthony Gordon continued to threaten Real Madrid's goal in the 34th minute, but Andriy Lunin saved his shot and turned it into a corner. In the 41st minute, Real Madrid took the lead after a ball reached Cucurella, who passed it to Yan Diomande. Diomande then surged forward with the ball and sent in a cross that was cleared by Gerard Martín, but it deflected off Kylian Mbappé and found the back of the net.

Barcelona witnessed a dangerous chance in the 43rd minute, when the ball reached Lamine Yamal inside the penalty area, but he bizarrely shot it wide of the goal, wasting a clear opportunity to score. Andriy Lunin easily saved a shot from Rodri, while Yan Diomande tried to find the net in stoppage time, but his effort hit the outside of the net.

As the second half began, both teams entered strongly, with Barcelona enjoying an advantage as they sought an early equaliser, while Real Madrid relied on dangerous counter-attacks. Barcelona managed to score the equaliser after a pass from Pedri to Raphinha, who fired it into the net in the 61st minute.

Barcelona nearly scored a second goal after a corner taken by Gerard Martín, but Andriy Lunin expertly cleared it in the 65th minute. Then, Güler fired a low shot that was easily saved by García in the 70th minute. Shortly after, Lamine Yamal unleashed a shot from outside the box, but it went just wide of the post in the 78th minute.

In the 87th minute, Real Madrid scored the winning goal after a quick counter-attack that ended with a pass to Kylian Mbappé, who found the back of the net. The remaining minutes passed without any significant danger, and the match ended with Real Madrid winning 2-1.
