The management of ES Setif is moving towards ending its association with Egyptian coach Hamada Sidqi, amid the negative results recorded by the team at the start of the professional league for the 2026-2027 season, which has put the club under early pressure.

ES Setif suffered their third defeat in the first six matches of the season, as they fell at home yesterday, Saturday, to newly promoted Chabab Ain Temouchent, losing by two goals to one in the match that took place in the seventh round.

The team, which has been managed by Hamada Sedki since last summer, has achieved one victory alongside two draws and three defeats, with its players scoring seven goals and conceding six. They currently sit in twelfth place with five points, having one match in hand.

The management of ES Setif announced in an official statement that an emergency meeting will be held this evening, Sunday, at the administration's headquarters, with the attendance of the Egyptian coach, to discuss the possibility of terminating his contract along with his coaching staff, following the results recorded since the beginning of the season.

ES Setif management has emphasized that it will study various aspects related to the file before making a final decision, confirming that the priority will be what serves the interests of the club and the aspirations of its fans during the upcoming phase.
