Rwandan army coach: We played a good match and I congratulate Zamalek on the win
Abdel Rahim Talib, the head coach of the Rwandan army team, spoke about his team's loss to Zamalek in today's match of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, with a score of 1-0.
The Rwandan army team has been eliminated from the CAF Champions League following a defeat against Zamalek, with a total score of two goals to nil over the two-legged tie in the second preliminary round of the competition.
Abdel Rahim Talib said via ON Sport: "I congratulate Zamalek on the win; we did not show the required level in the first half, and in the second half we controlled the match, but without scoring."
He added: "The scenario of today's match is what happened in the Kigali match; we changed our style of play in the second half and the approach was successful, but we did not score."
He added: "Overall, the experience is very good for us; we played a good match in the second leg against Zamalek, despite the large crowd presence."
He emphasized: "Football is about work and effort, and Zamalek is a team that has outstanding players and a strong bench, as well as a great coach, in addition to the absence of many big teams."
He concluded: "Sundowns exited the tournament against an unknown team, and Al Ahly and Wydad are not participating, so it is an opportunity for Zamalek to reach the finals."
