Bulehi sets historic record in Saudi Pro League as scoring defender

The achievement came during the match between Al-Shabab and Al-Fateh in the 11th round, as Al-Bulaihi scored two goals against the hosts, surpassing Shafee and claiming the historical record.

Farouk Shafai was leading the scoring defenders before the match with 21 goals, but a defender from Al-Shabab managed to surpass him during the ongoing match.

Mohammed Al-Bulayhi has previously represented Al-Hilal for nine seasons, before going on loan to Al-Shabab, returning to the Lions' squad for the current season.

Al-Shabab continued to lead their hosts Al-Fateh 3-1 after 60 minutes of the match, which saw Al-Bulayhi shine and achieve a new milestone in his career in the Saudi Pro League.

Ali Al-Bulaihi, the Al-Shabab defender, has taken the lead in the list of the highest-scoring defenders in the history of the Saudi Pro League, after reaching his 22nd goal, surpassing the previous record held by Farouk Shafii.
