De Zerbi pressures Tottenham to sign Piero Ausilio
Roberto De Zerbi, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, is pushing for the signing of Piero Ausilio, the former sporting director of Inter Milan, amid expectations that his arrival will contribute to the development of the club's transfer policy starting from January.
According to "TEAMtalk" citing "Il Giornale" via "Calcio Mercato", Tottenham officials are exploring the possibility of signing Ausilio, who is highly regarded by De Zerbi, amid increasing speculation about his move to England.
This comes after Tottenham have spent over £300 million during the summer, with the club ready to move again in January with a smaller budget. De Zerbi prioritizes signing a new striker, amid ongoing attempts to offload Richarlison, while he sees Omar Marmoush as a better fit for the playmaker and left-wing positions.
Piero Ausilio has over ten years of experience at Inter Milan, where he worked with Beppe Marotta and helped build a team that has won several titles, including three Serie A titles in the last six years. He is known for his ability to discover players at reasonable costs, which could benefit Tottenham in the winter transfer market.
The report added that De Zerbi wants to enlist Ausilio to try to convince Real Madrid to loan Brazilian striker Endrick to Tottenham in January, to bolster the team's attacking options.
