Porro loses faith in Tottenham project and aims to leave
Pedro Porro, the Tottenham Hotspur full-back, has lost confidence in the club's project under manager Roberto De Zerbi and is now looking to move to Real Madrid or FC Barcelona to compete for major titles, according to TEAMtalk.
According to the network, the player, aged 27, no longer believes that Tottenham can meet his ambitions, despite signing a new and improved contract last June.
These developments come amid a difficult start for Tottenham this season, as the team only achieved their first win in the Premier League on their seventh attempt, while their return to the UEFA Champions League seems out of reach this season.
Pedro Porro is open to the opportunity of moving to Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, while Graeme Bailey, the transfer specialist journalist at "TEAMtalk", mentioned on October 15 that the two Spanish clubs are considering the possibility of signing him.
Real Madrid have reasons to consider the transfer involving Alexander Arnold, while FC Barcelona have several options at right-back, including Jules Koundé, Eric Garcia, and João Cancelo.
In contrast, Tottenham are unlikely to agree to Pedro Porro's departure easily, as Billy clarified that the club is asking for £75 million to part with him, a fee that would break the record for right-back transfers, currently held by Achraf Hakimi after his move to Paris Saint-Germain for £57 million in 2021.
