Klopp defends Kimmich and rejects debate over his future at Bayern Munich

Germany manager Jürgen Klopp expressed his annoyance at being asked about the ongoing discussion regarding the possibility of Aleksandar Pavlovic and Tom Bischof playing together in Bayern Munich's midfield, and what that might mean for Joshua Kimmich.

Klopp stated in remarks to "DAZN": "Bischof and Pavlovic are excellent players, and they can play together excellently. I just think that talking about this matter now involves a great deal of disrespect, because we cannot discuss it without it later turning into a story about Kimmich as well. Joe has other matters to deal with today."

Defending the German midfielder, he added: "Joshua Kimmich is an exceptional midfielder, and he will always have a place in our team."

Klopp criticized the way the debate around lineup choices is stirred in Germany, saying: "This is a discussion that only happens in this country; when a player doesn't start in one match, people start saying he will never play again. This is really crazy."

He concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of having more than one outstanding player in midfield, explaining: "A good team needs more than one good midfielder, and it is better to have four, five, or six outstanding players, so that they can play the way they want."
