Barcelona have suffered a major blow ahead of their clash with Real Madrid in the El Clásico, with Dani Olmo confirmed to miss the match scheduled for next Sunday after sustaining an injury during the game against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Dani Olmo, who is 27 years old, had to leave the pitch after half an hour of the match against Paris Saint-Germain, which Barcelona lost 4-2, due to a blow to his left thigh.

Initial tests suggest the midfielder may have suffered a left adductor injury after colliding with Vitinha during the match. Dani Olmo appeared aware of the seriousness of the injury at the moment of impact, which was reflected in his facial expressions during the television broadcast.

The player is set to undergo additional medical examinations on Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury and the expected duration of absence, after arriving for the tests with a noticeable limp, amid expectations of being sidelined for several weeks.

The newspaper reported that Dani Olmo has not suffered any injuries since December 3rd, when he dislocated his shoulder after scoring a goal against Atlético Madrid, while his last muscle injury dates back to October 10, 2025.
