Spalletti: We must be more united and Juventus target victory over Rennes

Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Juventus, has stated that his team needs to show a strong reaction during their match against Rennes, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, in the third round of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League, following their defeat to SS Lazio by three goals to nil in Serie A.

Spalletti said during the press conference before the match: "We are the children of results, and I have learned to be balanced and calm no matter how the results change. Winning makes everyone happy, but we are now behind and have not achieved the results we wanted, so we need to dig deeper into our work and show a strong reaction, both from the players and from me."

The Italian coach added that the players have shown a willingness to work together to regain their form, explaining: "I feel that the team stands by me, and I gave the players the opportunity to speak during the last meeting, ensuring their seriousness, honesty, and readiness to find new solutions that will help us return to our best levels."

Regarding the match against Rennes, Spalletti stressed the need to play with greater focus and reduce individual impulsiveness, saying: "We need to think better, to be less impulsive and selfish. We must be one team, more cohesive and united, and perform our tasks with conviction and give our utmost."

Juventus manager concluded his remarks by emphasizing the strength of the opponent, noting that Rennes possesses great physical strength and excels in open spaces. He also announced that the duo Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade will start the match, in an attempt to secure their third consecutive win in the European competition.
