Zamalek SC has issued an official statement regarding the response from the Football Association to the complaint sent by the club following the refereeing errors in the match against Al Ahly FC.

Zamalek SC has questioned the Football Association's decision not to allow clubs to listen to video room conversations, and has called for a specific and announced mechanism for bringing in referees.

Zamalek SC's statement is as follows:

Zamalek SC has received an official response from the Egyptian Football Association regarding the complaint submitted by the club after the refereeing errors witnessed in the recent Cairo derby, which harmed the club.

Zamalek SC appreciates the Egyptian Football Association's response to the correspondence received from the club, but they are surprised by the reply stating that the association made a decision last season not to allow clubs to listen to video room discussions. This decision was not announced through any of the association's official platforms, and the club did not receive any official notification regarding this matter. Zamalek SC demands that the association disclose to the public the number of the meeting minutes in which this decision was made, in order to close the door on questions about the real reasons behind the rejection of Zamalek's request, especially since the association dealt differently with a similar request last season.

Zamalek SC has confirmed, based on what it received from the Football Association, that it has not received a direct and clear response to its complaint regarding referee errors, which harmed it and affected the course and result of the match, as stated by many refereeing experts. This has led the officials and fans of the White Castle to question why there has been no clarification on the cases that Zamalek was harmed by, especially after the media statements from the head of the referees committee, which acknowledge that the referee did not do justice to Zamalek, and that this matter should have been announced officially, in order to ensure fairness in the competition.

Despite the response confirming the professionalism of the referees committee in bringing in the Slovenian officiating team, Zamalek SC is calling on the federation to establish a clear and announced mechanism for appointing referees. They also demand an official analysis of the performance of foreign referees, free from favoritism or bias, so that the criteria for making refereeing decisions are the same for everyone, in accordance with the rules of officiating.

Zamalek SC expresses its strong commitment to the integrity and transparency of the competition, aiming to elevate the Egyptian football system. This comes in light of the federation's confirmation in its letter to apply equality among all clubs, a principle that Zamalek SC has always advocated for, as equality will provide the necessary justice.
