Zamalek SC prepares to announce Hossam El Zanaty as sporting director

Dina Selim has reported that the Zamalek SC board is awaiting the official announcement of Hossam El Zanaty's appointment as the club's sporting director. This decision is expected to be ratified and officially announced at the board's upcoming meeting.

During the "Stad Al-Mahwar" program, it was added: "The meeting is expected to finalize the official announcement regarding El Zanaty taking on the new role, as part of the arrangements for the football team within the club during the upcoming phase."

John Edward has left his position as sporting director of Zamalek SC at the end of last season, after one season at the club that saw the team crowned with the league title.

Zanati previously worked in several sports positions, having served as the deputy director of the Africa Cup of Nations, which was hosted by Egypt in the summer of 2019, before becoming the director of competitions for the 2019-2020 season. However, Zanati has recently decided to depart.

Zanati has taken on the role of sporting director at El Gouna before settling at Danish club Nordsjælland.
