Date and time of Al-Shorta vs Al-Karkh match in the league

The 10th round of the Iraqi Premier League continues tomorrow, Sunday, October 18, where Al-Shorta will host Al-Karkh in a match held at the Al-Shorta Club's cage stadium, at 8:30 PM Baghdad time.

A clash between two teams with completely different ambitions, but it always carries the flavor of derbies that are not subject to ranking calculations.

Al-Shorta enter this match in very high spirits, coming off a crucial and dramatic win against East Bengal of India, winning 3-2 in the AFC Champions League 2. This victory has placed them at the top of their Asian group and confirmed their strong return on the continental stage.

Al-Shorta are currently in sixth place in the Iraqi Premier League standings with 16 points. Therefore, the team is striving hard to secure all three points against Al-Najaf and not drop any points at home in front of their fans, as they continue their push towards the top.

On the other hand, Al-Karkh are entering this season while suffering immensely, as they are having one of their worst seasons in recent years.

The team occupies 18th place in the table with just 7 points, a position that is very low and does not befit the history and name of Al-Karkh, known for producing talent and playing beautiful football.

The Canaries acknowledge the difficulty of the task against a team as big as Al-Shurta at the Qafas Stadium, but they are searching for a lifeline. A single point against the former champions could serve as a significant moral victory for the team, helping to build momentum in the upcoming rounds.
