Manchester United monitor Real Betis striker for January signing
Troy Parrott, the Irish forward of Real Betis, has entered the radar of Manchester United, who are exploring the possibility of signing him during the upcoming winter transfer window to bolster their attack, according to TEAMtalk.
Manchester United are looking for a competitor for Slovenian Benjamin Šeško, who has played just 206 minutes this season due to recurring injuries. This has led manager Michael Carrick to rely on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the centre-forward position.
The report indicated that the English club has sent its scouts to monitor Parrot, who joined Real Betis last summer from AZ Alkmaar for €20 million, after scoring 31 goals and providing 12 assists during the last season.
The 24-year-old forward scored two goals and provided one assist in 6 matches with Betis this season. He also netted 3 goals with the Republic of Ireland during the recent international break.
Borut is contracted to Real Betis until 2031, with a release clause of €80 million. The same source mentioned that Manchester United's move to sign him in January will depend on Cisco's physical condition and performance in the upcoming period.
