Ander Herrera: Bruno Fernandes is a true leader and carries Manchester United's history on his shoulders

The Spanish Ander Herrera, former player of Manchester United, has praised the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes, the current captain of the team, stating that he is a true leader who has taken on significant responsibility within the English club for many years.

Ander Herrera stated in an interview on the program Rio Ferdinand Presents: "For me, Bruno is a true leader. He has carried Manchester United on his shoulders for many years, season after season."

He added: "Sometimes, when you watch him play, I don't want to say he plays alone, but he takes on the responsibility of carrying the history of this entire club on his shoulders."

Ander Herrera has defended Manchester United's captain amid criticism faced by the team, pointing out that Bruno has continued to take responsibility during tough times, whether by asking for the ball on the pitch or by scoring and assisting goals, as well as appearing in front of the media after defeats.
