After fiery statements, altercation between Lisandro Martínez and a teammate

Tensions have escalated following Lisandro Martínez's critical comments about Manchester United's management, with reports of a confrontation between him and a teammate during the return trip from Madrid after the defeat to Atlético 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League.

Sky Sports reported that at least one player has objected to Lisandro Martínez's statements, in which he criticized the transfer policy and urged the management to take greater responsibility for the team's situation, rather than placing the blame solely on manager Michael Carrick.

The Argentine defender has called for greater reinforcement of the team during the summer transfer window, criticizing the work of sporting director Jason Wilcox, despite the club spending large amounts to sign Carlos Baleba, André Santos, and Youri Tielemans.

The same source added that Lisandro Martínez's future has become uncertain, amid doubts regarding the extension of his contract beyond next summer. For its part, Reuters reported that the player acknowledged that his statements came as a result of anger and disappointment, but he stood by the essence of what he said.

The crisis increases pressure on Manchester United, especially as they go five consecutive matches without a win under Carrick. The report suggests that resolving the internal conflict may help the club avoid further divisions, while questions about Martínez's future may grow if both parties do not quickly regain trust.
