Eduardo Cernjar, the agent of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo, has denied reports that Liverpool have completely abandoned their interest in signing him, confirming that the circulating news regarding the player's future is unfounded.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", Araujo, who moved to Liverpool on loan from FC Barcelona about two months ago, has managed to assert himself in the English team's plans, having participated in the nine matches the team has played since his arrival, starting seven of them in the starting lineup.

The Uruguayan defender has participated in both centre-back and right-back positions, according to the needs of coach Andoni Iraola, who gives the player clear confidence after he struggled for playing time during his last season with FC Barcelona.

British media reports, citing The Sun, have indicated that there are doubts within Liverpool regarding the activation of the purchase clause for Ronald Araujo for €55 million, due to an alleged decline in his performance in recent weeks.

Kernachar has responded to the news, stating that it is "baseless rumors", and noted that the player feels settled in England, continuing to work according to the plan agreed upon with the coaching staff and the club management.

The player's agent stated that stability is a key factor in Ronald Araujo regaining his form, expressing hope that positive conditions will continue in the upcoming period.

Ronald Araujo's inclusion as a starter in Liverpool's match against LASK in the UEFA Champions League, where he scored his first goal for the English team, provides an additional indication of his continued reliance, despite the speculation surrounding his future.

Araujo is on loan at Liverpool from FC Barcelona, with a purchase option of €55 million that allows the English club to sign him permanently, to be decided by June 30.
