Catalan police have arrested two individuals, aged 58 and 42, on suspicion of involvement in a series of home burglaries, including the home of Juan García, goalkeeper of FC Barcelona, in an incident that occurred earlier this year.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the incident dates back to January 10, when García was in Saudi Arabia with his team for the Supercopa de España. Two individuals took advantage of his absence to break into the home where he was staying with his partner in the Baix Llobregat area of Catalonia, but the alarm system helped the police intervene.

Investigations revealed that the suspects monitored the home of Frenchman Jules Koundé, a defender for FC Barcelona, and prepared for a potential burglary, but did not carry it out. They are suspected of belonging to a criminal group involved in the theft of several luxury homes in Catalonia.

According to the same source, Arsim Blaku, one of the suspects, is a known repeat offender with the police and is suspected of being one of the masterminds behind the operations. The two men have been placed in pre-trial detention, while a third woman involved in the investigation has been released after appearing before the judge.
