Cubarsí: We are not an unbeatable team, and Yamal is the best in the world

Pau Cubarsí, defender of FC Barcelona, spoke about several issues concerning the team ahead of their match against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League, praising the abilities of his teammate Frenkie de Jong and emphasizing the need to continue working despite recent positive results.

Pau Cubarsí said about Frenkie de Jong: "He has a wonderful level, and in his position, he is one of the best players in the world. He will show his level in that position, and he will be extremely important for the team."

Discussing FC Barcelona's series of positive results, he explained: "We do not feel invincible, but we are going through a good period and have confidence; we must continue this dynamic."

Barcelona defender spoke about the importance of maintaining a clean sheet, saying: "Keeping a clean sheet is a challenge, and in stadiums like this one, it is extremely important. We need to improve in this area, and we will do so because we have room for development."

Regarding the match against Galatasaray, Pau Cubarsí said: "We faced Osimhen a few years ago, and some things may have changed since then. He is a competitor who knows what he wants and plays at home, which is important, so we need to be attentive to his attacks."

Regarding the capabilities of the opponent, he added: "We know their capabilities, and we must pay attention to the details, which will be very important."

Pau Cubarsí spoke about the number of minutes he participates in, explaining: "I have played a large number of minutes, and the coach gives me rest and organizes my participation, but I am always ready and eager to play every minute, because that is what I love to do most."

Speaking about handling responsibility despite his young age, he said: "When I'm on the pitch, I have to do the same thing everyone else is doing, and I'm ready for that."

Speaking about the referees in Madrid, he said: "I don't focus on this matter, but on the things I can influence, which are my team and what we can offer to our fans."

Regarding his development and the increased respect from his competitors, Cubarsí explained: "Perhaps I have matured a little, and this summer was an important milestone in my career. I have always had confidence in myself since I was young, but perhaps opponents respect me more now, even though they want to harm me, so I must remain vigilant."

Barcelona defender spoke about Lamine Yamal, amid discussions about his place among the best players in the world, stating: "Everyone knows that Lamine is the best in the world, he knows it, others know it too, and I do as well, and I can be among this category too, considering what I presented at the World Cup, but I am calmer, while he receives more media attention."

Pau Cubarsí spoke about the expected atmosphere at Galatasaray's stadium: "Everyone knows the level of pressure you feel in this stadium, as the fans impose a lot of pressure, and the first few minutes will be difficult. We need to be solid and focused, we must pay attention to some players, but the most important thing is to focus on the whole team, as it is a big team."
