Rennes hold on to Ait Boudlal and edge closer to renewing his contract
Reports have revealed that Moroccan international Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal has reached an agreement with Stade Rennais to extend his contract, in a move that reflects the club's continued trust in their young defender.
According to French newspaper 'Foot Mercato', an agreement has been reached on the extension terms with Moroccan defender Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, who has played four matches since the start of the season, totaling 280 minutes of play, and remains one of the key players relied upon by the French team.
Despite this development, the 20-year-old player has experienced a difficult start to the season, as he faced criticism from his coach Frank Hayes, and the sporting director Loïc Désiré also made remarks about his performances, which were not convincing.
It is noted that Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, a graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, is contracted to Rennes until June 2028.
