Real Madrid prepare to face AS Roma in the Champions League
Real Madrid have resumed training today, Monday, in preparation for their match against AS Roma, scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, at the Stadio Olimpico, as part of the second round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League, after the team had a rest yesterday, Sunday, following their victory over Villarreal by a goal to nil.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", training started at 11:30 AM, with the team set to welcome back defender Dean Houseon, who missed the Villarreal match due to suspension.
Real Madrid enter the match after beating Inter Milan 2-1 in the first round, while AS Roma drew with Fenerbahçe in Turkey. The royal team aims to focus on the European competition and secure a victory, away from the controversial atmosphere in LaLiga.
The match represents a special encounter for José Mourinho, the current Real Madrid manager, who led AS Roma between 2021 and 2024, winning the UEFA Europa Conference League with them. It is also significant for Hausen, who played for the Italian team during the 2023/2024 season under the Portuguese coach.
