Walter Bwalya: I trust Al Ahly players and expect the Red to win the derby

Walter Bwalya, former Al Ahly FC striker, has stated that he expects the Red Devils to win against Zamalek in the upcoming Cairo derby scheduled for Sunday, October 11, in the sixth round of the Egyptian League.

Bwalya said via Al Ahly FC's channel: "Currently, I am playing in Congo, my time at Al Ahly FC was one of the best periods of my career. Al Ahly FC is a very big club, I may not have felt the same happiness at El Gouna FC, but there are important moments I will never forget, especially winning the CAF Champions League and the African Super Cup."

He continued: "At Al Ahly FC, there were a lot of fans, but I was happier at El Gouna FC because I felt like I was at home, and I knew how to deal with the players there better. When I was at Al Ahly FC, I wasn't lucky at first and didn't score any goals, but over time I was able to prove myself at Al Ahly FC and score more goals."

He continued: "I was talking to Diang but he left, and I have a relationship with Akram Tawfik and Kahraba, and I have good relations with the fans."

He continued: "The match between Al Ahly FC and Zamalek has a special character and does not depend only on technical level, but also on focus, personality, and spirit on the pitch. I trust the players of Al Ahly FC, and my message to them is to play with calmness and confidence and give their all because they know the value of the shirt."

Akram Tawfik stated: "My expectations for the big match are that Al Ahly FC always wins, and currently they have a strong team. I am confident that Al Ahly FC will delight the fans against Zamalek."
