Conte: I want to restore the glory of a club that has lost its shine

Antonio Conte has discussed his future in coaching, emphasizing that his ambition is not only tied to winning more trophies but also to experiencing a journey with a club that has a rich history but has lost some of its luster, and working to restore its former glory.

Conte said: "I have won a lot, but I have lost a lot. Too much. And when you lose, and this is something I want my players to understand well because I have lived it myself, if you lose the FIFA World Cup or the UEFA Champions League final and then go on holiday, you might think there is another chance. But there isn't always another chance. This is the chance."

The Italian coach added while speaking about his vision for the future: "There are many clubs that have somewhat lost their connection to their history... I would like to go to one of these clubs, to dust off that history and make it shine again."

Conte's remarks come amid a successful coaching career, having won six league titles with four clubs in two countries. He has also had notable experiences with Chelsea and Tottenham in the Premier League.

Conte emphasizes that losses have been a significant part of his career despite his many victories, stressing that opportunities in football are not guaranteed. This explains his desire to take on a new challenge with a club that is looking to regain its historical status.
