Barcelona women thrash Real Madrid women in the clásico
FC Barcelona continued to assert their dominance over Real Madrid in the women's clásico, securing a resounding 7-0 victory in LaLiga.
Bina opened the scoring for FC Barcelona Women in the 4th minute, after receiving the ball on the edge of the penalty area and evading several defenders before finding the net past Frohms, giving Barcelona an early advantage that unsettled Real Madrid.
Real Madrid attempted to maintain their style and press in Barcelona's areas, but the Catalan players managed to escape the pressure easily and exploit the spaces behind the defensive line. As the pressure continued, Peña returned to score the second goal after following up on a ball that rebounded off the goalkeeper following an attempt from Payer.
Real Madrid's collapse continued as Bina completed her hat-trick in the first half hour, taking advantage of FC Barcelona's recovery of the ball in advanced areas and collaborating with Patri Guijarro before breaking free from the goalkeeper to score the third goal.
Shortly after, the fourth blow came when Graham Hansen led a quick attack, collaborating with Bayor before bypassing the defense and shooting into the net, making it four goals amidst complete control from FC Barcelona.
Just before the end of the first half, Peña completed her personal four-goal haul and the fifth for FC Barcelona, in a scene that confirmed the Catalan team's superiority over their opponent, as the same idea of regaining possession and collaborating with Bayor was repeated before successfully finishing the attack.
In contrast, FC Barcelona did not need complete possession to continue scoring, as they also relied on counter-attacks. From one of these attacks, Patri delivered a wonderful ball behind the defense to Graham Hansen, who bypassed the Real Madrid defender and passed the ball to Bayo, who scored the sixth goal.
In the dying minutes, the seventh blow came from Sidney, who unleashed a stunning shot from outside the box that settled in the top corner, completing FC Barcelona's seven-goal haul and leaving Real Madrid with a heavy defeat in the clásico.
