Pochettino discusses Manchester City case

Maurício Pochettino, the head coach of the United States national team, has opened the debate surrounding Manchester City after his comments on the referee related to the financial allegations faced by the English club, considering that what has happened raises significant questions about the fairness of competition in the Premier League.

Pochettino said in his remarks: "It is a very sad situation, because what was achieved and celebrated may not have been real, and what was not good could have been better."

The former Chelsea and Tottenham manager added: "We lived in a period where sporting justice was not present."

He concluded: "If the allegations are proven true, it will be very difficult to fix what has happened," before expressing hope that the case will contribute to ensuring greater equality among all clubs in the future.

Reports have recently confirmed Manchester City’s conviction on 114 out of 115 charges in the case related to the financial rules of the Premier League, with proceedings regarding penalties continuing and the possibility of the club appealing the decisions.
