Injuries continue to haunt Real Madrid despite Mourinho's efforts
Injuries continue to be a persistent issue for Real Madrid this season, with the number of injuries the team has suffered reaching the same figure recorded at the same stage last season.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Real Madrid have recorded 9 injuries so far this season, which is the same number they reached at the same point last season. The team suffered a total of 60 injuries last season, with only Vinícius, Gonzalo, Ibrahim Díaz, and Fran García being affected.
Injuries have become a major concern within the club, as they were considered one of the main reasons for finishing last season without any trophies.
José Mourinho has joined the team to address this issue, with Sandro Carreiro coming from Benfica to take charge of sports science focused on injury prevention and managing physical loads.
Despite these measures, the current injury list includes Rodrygo, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, Kylian Mbappé, Federico Valverde, and Ibrahima Konaté. Rodrygo and Mendy are expected to take the longest to return, while Real Madrid awaits updates on the conditions of Mbappé, Valverde, and Konaté to assess their chances of being fit for the match against Villarreal on October 10.
Mourinho's injury woes continue, similar to those faced by Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso, and Arbeloa, as this issue persists within Real Madrid without a definitive solution found by the club so far.
