Officially: Kenyan referee Peter Kamaku to officiate Egypt vs Angola clash

The Confederation of African Football's referees committee has appointed Kenyan referee Peter Kamaku to officiate the match between Egypt and Angola, as part of the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification for 2027.

The match will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Cairo International Stadium, marking the start of both teams' journey in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification for the finals scheduled to be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in 2027.

Kamakou has been selected among a group of appointments announced by CAF to officiate key matches in the opening round, which also features Morocco against Gabon, Tunisia against Uganda, and Algeria against Zambia.

The match is expected to see a large turnout, as the Egyptian national team aims for a strong start in their quest to secure a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.
