Reasons for Ittihad Alexandria SC not renewing Afsha's loan

Ittihad Alexandria SC has explained, through its president Mohamed Ahmed Salama, the background that led to the conclusion of Al Ahly FC player Afsha's journey with the team, as the player's loan was not renewed with "the leader of the coast" after his contract expired at the end of last season.

Mohamed Magdy Afsha has joined Ittihad Alexandria SC on loan for six months from Al Ahly FC.

Mohamed Ahmed Salama stated in remarks via "On Sport" radio: "Afsha wanted to return to Al Ahly FC, and he informed me of that."

He added: "When the season ended, Afsha spoke to me and informed me of his desire to return to Al Ahly FC, but in the event of his departure from Al Ahly FC, he will return again to Ittihad Alexandria SC."

The club stated: "We did not wait for Al Ahly FC's final position regarding Afsha's continuation or not, and we have put alternative plans in place to compensate for him at Ittihad Alexandria SC, and indeed we succeeded in that."
