Bayern Munich director explains Díaz's absence from Colombia national team
Max Eberl, the sporting director of Bayern Munich, has confirmed that Luis Díaz's absence from Colombia's upcoming international matches will not affect his physical readiness.
Eberl commented on Díaz's decision not to participate with Colombia: "These matches are not necessarily the kind that should be played in South America after the FIFA World Cup, and this is beneficial for players from time to time. Lucho has played a very large number of matches so far, including the FIFA World Cup and last season with Bayern Munich."
He added: "Therefore, I think it is good for him. He will first get some rest, then he will gradually return to training. He will have his own training program, so there is no need for anyone to worry about his readiness."
The decision to rest Luis Díaz comes amid the numerous matches the player has participated in recently. The Bayern Munich coaching staff believes that a short period of rest before a gradual return to training will be beneficial for maintaining his fitness throughout the season.
