Newcastle confirm stance on Woltemade's departure

Newcastle have clarified the future of their German forward Nick Woltemade, who is currently on loan at Juventus until the end of the season, with no purchase option in the loan agreement.

Nick Woltemade has joined Juventus during the final stages of the summer transfer window, after Newcastle signed Matías Fernández Pardo from Lille for £51 million, in a deal that saw the new arrival start to make a good impression.

Nick Woltemade has yet to start a match in Serie A, but he scored his first goal for Juventus during the 5-0 win over Dutch side Nijmegen in the UEFA Europa League.

Football Insider has reported that Newcastle have decided to permanently part ways with Nick Woltemade, given the impressive performances of Yoane Wissa and the promising levels shown by William Osula, which may leave him out of the striker rankings upon his return to the team at the end of the season.

Nick Woltemade is contracted to Newcastle until 2031 after joining the club in the summer of 2025 for £96 million. He has scored 11 goals in 53 matches, and the same source confirmed that the club will be open to his permanent departure next summer.

Juventus may wait until the end of the loan before deciding on a permanent deal for the player, while Bayern Munich is also linked with the possibility of bringing him back to the Bundesliga.
