Saudi Arabia has lost the services of international duo Salem Al-Dawsari and Saud Abdulhamid, as they have been confirmed as absent from the Green's squad participating in the Gulf Cup "Gulf 27".

The Saudi national team is preparing to compete in the tournament hosted in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, with the participation of 8 teams.

Saudi Arabia's captain Salem Al-Dawsari will miss the upcoming matches due to injury, having undergone surgery on his knee tendon injury in recent weeks. He is currently continuing his rehabilitation and treatment program.

Al-Dawsari is undergoing treatment and rehabilitation sessions in preparation for regaining his fitness and returning to the pitch, which has prevented him from participating with the Saudi national team in the Gulf Cup 27.

Saud Abdulhamid has been excluded from the squad due to an injury sustained with his French club Lens, which is characterized by a hematoma in the thigh muscle.

Saud Abdulhamid continues his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical staff, waiting for his recovery to be complete and to regain his ability to participate in matches, thus missing the Gulf Championship.

Georgios Donis, the head coach of the Saudi national team, has announced the 26-man squad for the Gulf Cup 27, which includes Mohammed Al-Owais, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, and Hamad Youssef in goal.

The defensive lineup includes Abdulilah Al-Amri, Jihad Dhikri, Rayan Hamad, Hassan Kadsh, Hassan Al-Tambakti, Nawaf Bushal, Mohammed Mahrazi, Moteb Al-Harbi, and Zakaria Hawsawi.

In midfield, Donis has chosen Musab Al-Juwair, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Mohammed Kanno, Ziyad Al-Jahani, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dawsari, and Alaa Al-Hajji.

The attacking lineup includes Sultan Mandash, Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Hamam Al-Hamami, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Feras Al-Buraikan, and Abdullah Al-Salem.

The Saudi national team is in Group A alongside Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait, while Group B includes Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Yemen.
