Juventus deal blow to Manchester United and Liverpool over Kalulu

Manchester United and Liverpool have suffered a blow in their attempts to sign Frenchman Pierre Kalulu, after Juventus confirmed they are not willing to part with their defender during the winter transfer window.

CaughtOffside reports that Kalulu, 26, has become an important part of Juventus' defence, amid increasing interest from Premier League clubs, particularly Manchester United and Liverpool.

The "Manchester Evening News" has reported that Juventus are not planning to sell the player in January, despite interest from two clubs. Meanwhile, other reports have indicated that Manchester United have sent scouts to Italy to monitor him, with interest also coming from Liverpool and Tottenham.

Kalulu excels in his ability to play both as a centre-back and a right-back, giving him added value for clubs looking to bolster their defence.

Juventus have set the player's value at around €50 million this summer, and they may ask for a higher amount if they receive an offer in the middle of the season, especially as he is considered one of the reliable defenders by Luciano Spalletti.
