Luis Enrique, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, has confirmed his satisfaction with the team's roster, despite criticisms aimed at some players in recent times, ahead of their match against Brest on Sunday in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking for their first league win of the season after stumbling in their first three matches. They regained their balance in Europe with a big win over Slovan Bratislava, 6-1, in the UEFA Champions League.

Luis Enrique acknowledged that the start has not been as successful as the team hoped in terms of results, but he emphasized that Paris Saint-Germain has shown good performances in several matches. He stressed the need to continue working to translate that performance into results, especially in Ligue 1.

The Spanish coach discussed the upcoming match against Brest, emphasizing the importance of returning with three points, as his team aims to put an end to a series of domestic setbacks. He also stressed the need to maintain focus and not to be complacent after the big victory achieved against Slovan in the UEFA Champions League.

Luis Enrique praised young player Dui Fernández, stating that his participation with the first team is well-deserved and not a matter of favoritism. He clarified that age or nationality are not criteria for him, and that any player who deserves to participate will get the opportunity.

Paris Saint-Germain's coach spoke about the rotation policy, explaining that he prefers to give playing minutes to as many players as possible. However, he pointed out that it becomes more difficult when the team plays only one match during the week, while also stressing the necessity for all team members to remain in a state of readiness and await their opportunity.

Luis Enrique has expressed great confidence in his current squad, highlighting the team's strong balance across various positions. He noted that absences and injuries do not necessarily indicate a crisis, given the availability of alternatives capable of compensating for the missing players.

Regarding the criticism faced by Ukrainian defender Illya Zabarnyi, Enrique defended his player, considering that the criticism is a natural part of life at Paris Saint-Germain, even when the team achieves significant victories.

Luis Enrique said: "This is normal. Even if you win 6-1, there will be criticism. This is very positive because the noise means we are at a big club." He added that he remembers the criticism faced by both Neymar and Dembélé, as well as himself, emphasizing the need to appreciate the fact that Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best clubs in the world.

The Spanish coach also touched on the competition for the Ballon d'Or, confirming that Paris Saint-Germain's philosophy is primarily based on teamwork, but he expressed his happiness at having a number of players capable of competing for the prestigious individual award.

Luis Enrique concluded his remarks by confirming his satisfaction with the squad he has, stressing that the team's goal in the upcoming phase is to translate the level they are showing into results, with the beginning being the match against Brest, in search of Paris Saint-Germain's first win in Ligue 1 this season.
