Fabregas: Kean was our first choice and can play alongside Duvikas
Cesc Fàbregas, the head coach of Como, has talked about the upcoming match against Genoa, confirming that new striker Moise Kean has been the team's first choice for a long time, mentioning the possibility of him playing alongside Antonis Douvikas.
Cesc Fàbregas said: "Kean was our first choice for two months, and we had other options in case the deal didn't go through, but he has always been our first choice. We thought he was perfect for what we were looking for, and now we have two high-level strikers, and Duvikas has developed a lot, and they can play together, why not?".
Regarding the goalkeeping situation, Como's coach clarified that the signing of Robert Sánchez was not planned from the outset, but the opportunity came after one of the goalkeepers departed. He emphasized that Jean Butez has delivered impressive performances recently, but he does not have a fixed idea of 'starter and backup' within the team; rather, those who deserve to play will participate.
Cesc Fàbregas concluded his remarks by confirming that all players are ready for the match against Genoa, including Moise Kean, while the only exception is Aliou Adny, who is starting to return to form but is not yet ready to join the squad for the match.
